Time Present - Light Rail Station at 40th & Airport in Denver, CO

Inspired by contemporary nano science research at Colorado School of Mines and experimental dome building in Trinidad and Gardner, the metal relief sculpture for the new light rail station honor the experimentation, innovation and future problem-solving that are critical to the culture of Colorado. As a frequent presenter at the conference on World Affairs at UC Boulder, Buckminster Fuller inspired experimental polyhedral architecture in Colorado. I have borrowed the title of his 1975 article Time Present for the sculpture at 40th & Airport.

All of the new stations along the University of Colorado A Line will open to the public on April 22, 2016.
